The data center market in Ireland is experiencing explosive growth, to the point where their energy consumption now exceeds that of residential households. Rehlko, in collaboration with its irish authorized distributor DE POWER, has recently commissioned a cutting-edge installation in Dublin, providing high-tech generators for a major client in the data center industry.
A Large-Scale Project to Meet Specific Needs
The client, a major global player in the data center sector, required a capacity of 16 MW with generators capable of meeting the strict demands of the market. These requirements include extended autonomy, high starting capacity, enhanced fire safety, and optimal soundproofing.
In response, REHLKO proposed a custom solution by installing four KD4500 generators, the most powerful on the market, in Walkin Enclosure WIC40 containers specifically designed for the data center sector. These oversized containers provide exceptional accessibility to the generators, making installation and maintenance easier.
Innovative Technology for Performance and Safety
The installed solution includes interconnected generators, each equipped with an APM802 control system for managing power plants. An additional APM802 coordinates the common part of the installation.
The installation features a 10 MV high-voltage distribution and LEROY SOMMER alternators, ensuring reliability and performance.
Each generator is equipped with a 41m3 fuel tank, providing 48 hours of autonomy.
To ensure the safety of the entire setup, a fire detection and suppression system is integrated, and the SCR provision will facilitate any future upgrades to the installation.
